Light is the only energy we can see, and we see it in the form of colour. 
Light and Colour therapy has been used for hundreds of years. It has been shown that plants react to light of various wavelengths (i.e. hydroponics). Light is the major energy source of trees and plants which allows them to produce chlorophyll so important to our environment and the very air we breathe.  In fact without Light plants could not survive
Light flows through our eyes and triggers hormone production, which influences our entire complex biochemical system. This biochemical system then affects our being.

Animals have chakras/energy centres the same as we do and their chakras are similarly situated – given that the majority of them are more horizontal than we are - they are in very similar places. Many animals do not see colour as we do, but this does not mean they are not affected by colour energy vibrations. Animals do have another main chakra, which is situated over the top of the shoulder, which is called the brachial chakra. This chakra is sometimes called the key chakra since it is very powerful and can give access to all the other chakras. Most land animals have a dispersed energy system, like a human baby, or a little bit like an adult who has maintained the ability to experience things through connected senses- For example animals often become stressed before a thunderstorm as they are able to pick up other types of vibrations in the air apart from electro-magnetic vibrations which we are unable to detect in the same way. Some can even sense death as many people have reported that their pet instinctively knows when a loved one is close to death.

It represents the central nervous system  510-700nm  -  solar plexus chakra.

GREEN -  It Equalizes, relaxes, calms down, keeps physical and mental energy dynamically balanced, releases tensed-up, painful processes, brings profound serenity. Recent studies have shown it to be good for acne lesions.  It helps heart problems; HBP; burns; cuts; bruises; pigmentation 475-510nm - heart chakra.
